Paper to Markdown is a one-person project. Our parsing engine is currently free to use — so your subscription pays for the two things that do cost us real money: the Tencent Cloud that runs every conversion, and the payment processor that keeps your card safe.
Every page you convert consumes cloud compute, storage and download bandwidth — that's why quotas exist. Payment also carries the processor fee, a PayPal withdrawal & FX margin, and tax on cross-border income, so we show the full picture before a single dollar reaches us.
The remainder keeps the project online, funds small improvements, and occasionally buys the maintainer a coffee.

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all paid plans. If you're not satisfied with the conversion quality or service within 30 days of your purchase, contact our support team and we'll issue a full refund — no questions asked.
Yes. You can change plans at any time from your account dashboard. Upgrades take effect immediately and we prorate the difference. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle, so you keep the higher tier's limits until then.
This is a one-person project, so we don't run a sales team — but if you expect monthly volumes above 10,000 pages, email support@papertomd.com and we'll work out a fair arrangement directly.
You won't be charged surprise overage fees. When you hit your monthly quota, conversions pause until your cycle resets — or you can upgrade to a higher tier and the new quota applies right away. We never bill per-page overages.
Absolutely. Cancel with one click from your account settings — no email or phone call required. You'll keep full access to your plan until the end of your current billing period, after which your account reverts to the Free tier.
Page quotas reset at the start of each billing cycle and do not roll over. This keeps pricing predictable for everyone. If you regularly need more pages, consider upgrading to a higher tier or purchasing add-on packs — both can be managed from your dashboard.
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. They accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) and PayPal, and they handle global sales tax / VAT automatically. We never see or store your card details.
